Enjoy a small-group marine eco-activity where you'll be able to witness the power and gentleness of magnificent animals: Humpback whales. You will be guided into the wonders of whales, by a specialized guide ( biologist, ecologist or naturalist). The boats are small and have a bathroom. The tour will follow the regulations for the activity, so you will enjoy it as much as possible, without disturbing the whales. Magical

I’m so glad i chose a small boat tour with passionate human beings. We saw about a dozen whales and a number of dolphin over 4 hours. My advice, don’t spend to much time trying to get a breach for your Instagram. Sit back and enjoy these magnificent beasts in their home. This isn’t a chase-the-other-boats tour. This is a relaxed experience, having patience and about being kind to the leviathans.

An amazing lifetime experience!

Going to Puerto Vallarta in December 2022, I knew I wanted to see migrating whales, something that was on my bucket list. I was connected to Vallarta Natours through two degrees of tour-guide separation. I love to follow referrals as it makes our world a bit smaller. Thalia reached out to me via whatsapp and after a few back and forth messages, our trip for two was booked! Thalia was friendly and speedy with her responses. I knew I had made the right decision, even before my plane took off. Once we arrived at the dock we were greeted with her enthusiasm and professionalism. There were 6 guests on our trip, with a maximum of 10. So there were opportunities to see whales from all places on board. Angel was our captain, Thalia was our guide. She's a marine biologist who had answers for all my sciency questions - she recognized the pods of dolphins we encountered, could spot whales on the wavy ocean surface with no effort and she could explain the ocean processes too. Not only was this trip full of photos and videos, we learned a lot about whale and dolphin behaviour! Angelo and Thalia's synchronicity was apparent as soon as the boat's motors started and together they made this trip amazing, seamless and memorable. Thank you!

Not to be missed

This was exactly the whale watching tour I was hoping for and more. It exceeded every expectation I had. In addition to being warm and engaging, Thalia is a marine biologist whose knowledge, instincts and insights made for LOTS of whale sightings and a better understanding of these magnificent creatures. I got post-tour depression because I didn't want this exciting adventure to end.

One of the best experiences I've ever had. I fulfilled my dream of seeing whales with the perfect tour for me. A small group of people and a small boat makes the search more agile and personal. It feels like a real expedition where everyone in the crew collaborates to find whales. All with the help of a great guide who explained everything to us and answered all our questions, I learned a lot. I will definitely book this tour with Vallarta Natours again.

Great tour

Victor was out tour guide for the day, we lost count to how many whales we saw. There was one group of five four males fighting for the heart of the one female. He gave us information we’d never known about the whales. He also dropped the mic into the water when we were far enough from other boats and we could hear the whales sing to one another.
