What To Expect
Bay of Banderas
You´ll be taken by an expert on Marine Mamals and get involve in a totally diferent adventure full of adrenaline and action, right in the midle of the wild whales, check out how the males compete for the females and how the moms care about the calves. 3 hours in a totally shade and fast boat equiped with sound to hear them to sing. You´ll learn by a bilangüal tour guide, and be able to participate on photo id and research projects to protect the whales.

Fantastic Experience

A highlight of our week in PV. We did a ton of research to find the best whale watching tour and I think it paid off! Having seen the other tours out on the same morning, I think this tour has several advantages: 1) the max group is 10 on a boat that allows you to move around for better views. 2) the boat is small, allowing us to quickly move when whales are spotted, and to move in a bit closer (always taking care not to disturb them and get up too close) and 3) you know you are in good hands with guide Carlos and driver Martin - they are professional, passionate and knowledgeable. We learned a lot about whales and dolphins and sea turtles (saw all of them on the tour!) and also got to listen to them through their underwater sonar device. Very cool! Water, soft drinks and healthy snacks (fruit, granola bars) were provided. I was worried a little about getting sea sick but it was a smooth ride and taking gravol an hour before boarding probably helped as well. Can’t recommend this tour more highly!

This was an amazing experience! Martin was a great captain and Carlos was an incredibly knowledgeable and friendly guide. I can not recommend this enough! Along with seeing plenty of whales we learned so much about their behavior. We also go to listen to their songs with an underwater mic. We saw dolphins as well! There were only 6 of us on this boat (I believe the max is 10), so much better than the large boats!! We loved it!

Carlos was the best guide we could have asked for! So knowledgeable. We saw lots of whales, even a baby! An absolutely amazing experience, a must-do when in Puerto Vallarta.

Carlos has incredible knowledge about whales and marine life in general. Captain Emilio gave us a smooth boat ride. Overall we saw lots of whales and dolphins. It was a great experience and we will be back! Highly recommend.
Once in a life time experience

This tour really fulfilled one of my bucket list wishes. First, Carlos was a super knowledgable tour guide, clearly passionate about the whales and shared a lot of interesting information. Captain Emilio had a great eye to discover them and we were lucky enough to encounter a whole group of whales and accompany them for quite some time, seeing them blowing and even breaching multiple times. The boat is small and fast, so we were a lot more mobile than the bigger boats and got very close. We even got to hear the whales sing via an underwater microphone. It was an absolutely wonderful experience to see these beautiful animals in their habitat and we saw more of them than I could have dreamed of. Additionally, we saw many dolphins and turtles as well. Would absolutely recommend this tour.
